Hail Cyrano! Put on by a well-qualified cast and crew, Cyrano de Bergerac was -begun last June, with sword- fighting lessons preparing Jeff Wal- ling and Chuck Sarture for the roles of Cyrano and Valvert. Late November was set for the opening date, but the play was postponed until January 17, 18 and 19, in order to take advantage of the newly installed sound system in Clock Auditorium. Although Cyrano ' s nose was the center of attraction, Walllng ' s su- perb acting talent again earned him the title role in a RHS drama. Under the direction of Mrs. Billie Daniel, Cyrano was beautifully executed and received standing ovations at all three performances. twenty-four Q Cyrano de Bergerac

G.A.A. Sponsors Hoedown Attired in overalls, jeans, and fan- ;y square-dance dresses, RHS gals :]rabbed their guys and dragged rhem to Terrier Hall for the Sadie Hawkins dance. The hoedown, spon- sored by GAA, lasted from 9 to 12 and featured Jay, a new band from San Francisco. With a farm-style sunhat acting as a crown, David Fitzgerald was named Sadie Hawkins King, and was promptly seated on his throne, a saddle, where he ruled the evening ' s many events. One of the more popular activi- ties of the night was gettin ' hitched, with ceremonies per- formed by Marryin ' Sam, Dick Bates. Other enjoyed pastimes ranged from plain old eating, to pyramid- building, to pass-the-person. But, whatever their endeavors, the Okies had a great time.
