Dances Promote Togetherness Although the first dance of the year, the hiello Dance, was held on Friday, September 13, superstition failed to hamper the spirits of those in attendance. If anything, it re- vealed the real enthusiasm of RHS students and set the pace for later dances. The dances were sponsored by many different organizations, rang- ing from the Recreation Depart- ment to ASB. Bands were numerous, with such name groups as Mighty Mighty, Grace, and Bones. Seniors began their final high school good-byes at the last dance of the year, the highly successful Farewell Fling. Dances Q twenty-three

Hail Cyrano! Put on by a well-qualified cast and crew, Cyrano de Bergerac was -begun last June, with sword- fighting lessons preparing Jeff Wal- ling and Chuck Sarture for the roles of Cyrano and Valvert. Late November was set for the opening date, but the play was postponed until January 17, 18 and 19, in order to take advantage of the newly installed sound system in Clock Auditorium. Although Cyrano ' s nose was the center of attraction, Walllng ' s su- perb acting talent again earned him the title role in a RHS drama. Under the direction of Mrs. Billie Daniel, Cyrano was beautifully executed and received standing ovations at all three performances. twenty-four Q Cyrano de Bergerac
