Homecoming Fever Raises RHS Spirit Invaded by hundreds of RHS stu- dents, the Redlands Bowl played host to the pageantry of the pep rally that concluded the hour- long parade. Spirit- provoking skits included a parody of the ponn - pons by four seniors. Mike Melia was the dubious recipient of a blindfold, a kiss, and a pie in the eye from flag twirler Terri Dahlgren. Homecoming evening included a 42-7 Terrier rout of the Eisenhower Eaales at the U of R stadium. Entertained by Wonderdust, Queen Carolyn and formally dressed Homecoming couples packed Terri- er Hall for dancing and socializing until I a.m. twenty Q Homecoming

i With spirits high, the Homecom- ing festivities were well under way the last week of October when float ideas fitting the theme Dreams for Tomorrow were submitted, and construction of the class floats was begun the first three days of No- vember, to be ready for Homecom- ing on Nov. 8. After the Class of 76 corrected the vandal-caused disfigurement of figures on their float, it and the oth- er floats, along with Homecoming royalty, pep squads and the RHS marching band, wound their v ay down Redlands Boulevard and up Orange Street to the Redlands Bowl where students peaked their spirit at the traditional pep rally. Homecoming 74 also marked the last year the Clem Building would be used to build and store the floats in, since it was demolished to make way for a new Downtown Redlands mall.
