GAA Develops Active Interest and Skills Active members of the Girls ' Athletic Association maintained a busy schedule helping develop more interest in girls ' sports, while spon- soring various activities. A sweater sale, the all-time favor- ite Sadie hiawkins Dance, and the off-campus sale helped to fund the Father- Daughter Awards Banquet, an ice-skating party in December, and the Mother- Daughter Awards Tea. In conjunction with the PTA, the GAA staff and members also sup- ported a committee designed to encourage more concern, participa- tion, and attendance at previously ignored girls ' activities and sports.
