Dear Seniors, What this class leaves most are attitudes. If, during these three years we seemed unconcerned, it was because we had finally learned to look inward; if the loves we hun- gered for and searched for seemed to die hard, it was be- cause we could not bear alone the passing of time; and if we seemed too eager to play the high school role, it was only because we realized that these few moments could not live again. For you see, it ' s easy to become so lost in issues that one forgets the pleasure of simply living every day. If we realized anything, then, in our years together, it was that the world and all its problems would wait for us, and that time could, but even for an hour, stand still — if we would only let it. Thomas Wolfe summed up best the Class of 1972: And time passing like a river flowing . . . time passing as men pass who never will come back again . . . and leav- ing us. Great God, with only this . . . that this earth, this time, this life, are stranger than a dream. Thanks for letting me share it with you. Y es i). l«flSs: k ■ierjaweh ' ?
