Debbie Fitzgerald Editor Dear Makio Staff, We are young, we are alive, we ore the future! Congratulations, Makio staff . . . your yearbook has truly captured this theme . . . you have been creative and diligent throughout this entire year, one marked by the usual problems and ironical turns of fate. You have all contributed greatly to the success of this book. My special thanks can only be inadequately ex- pressed to veterans Cindy and Sandy Smith, my two right-hand men without whom I could not hove possibly functioned effectively. Other bouquets should be handed to Barbara Hegyssey, who drew our excellent lettering, Linda Hinkle, who created our gem — the theme, and Rick Krantz, who in addition to his duties as Sports Edi- tor, did a great deal of photography. Finally, the entire staff, section editors, and photographers, who all per- formed so beautifully, deserve, too, the highest praise for their endeavors. Thank you! De]ob;e. . 4-:
