The Pep Club ' sponsors the varsity and reserve cheerleaders, the Sportsrnan's Banquet, and this year co-sponsored with the Varsity Club the election of the Football Queen and her court. araifg Q The valiant boys of this club are those who have Won their var sity letters. Without doubt, it is a select and elite group, and every phase of sports is represented. Each year the first-time letter winners are initiated and finally admitted to the honorable ranks. The Varsity Club initiation is quite famous. One well- known feature of it is the Mo- hawk Hair Cut sported by the initiates. Janice S'ostad The Voice of Christian Youth Club has been a promi- nent organization for the last six years in R. U. The club constitution states the purpose as such: to make a living Christ known among faculty and Student Body through personal witness and club activityg to pro- mote among students an interest in Christian fellowship and faithful church attendance in the church of their choice: to provide Christian fellowship and promote higher scholastic standards: and to present a united front against the forces of despotism and juvenile delinquency. The activities of the year, besides the weekly devotional meeting, have included sponsoring buses to the Billy Graham Crusade: A Christmas Specia1 party at which Miss Arnold showed her Holy Land pictures: and a never-to- be forgotten assembly featuring the movie, Oi1town, U.
