Dear Seniors. Suddenly it's graduation time and high school days draw to a close. Only yesterday you were freshies - young innocents just out of elementary grades - wondering what high school might hold for you. Now you know! I hope as you look back over the past four years that you find little to regret and much for which to be thankful. I hope the lessons you learned here will benefit you greatly in your future life whether you aspire to further education or move immediately into the world of work. The high school age is one of rapid growth. During your years at Redford you matured physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. You arrived a child, you depart an adult and from here on you must expect to be treated as an adult - as one completely responsible for his own actions. You live in an age that challenges humanity. Great changes are taking place. Frontiers of human knowledge and achievement are being rolled back at an astounding pace. Such accelerated development poses many problems. The future of the human race - and of our nation - depends upon our being in the vanguard of this race for new knowledge and on our ability to cope successfully with the staggering problems raised. Before long your generation must face this challenge. I have faith in your ability to discharge this obligation with honor. Now you must leave us. Redford has enjoyed your stay and will miss you. l'm sure you will never forget Redford. Keep this copy of the BLAZER - it will bring back many happy memories. Return and visit us whenever you can. You will always be welcome. Sincerely yours, CHARLES J. WOLFE, Principal 28
