This year Tom Gaskill spoke on behalf of Larry Van Tuyl, senior president candidate, Mike Leahy for Dave Cannava, senior president candidate, Gene 2 Henssler for Bob Buchanan, vice-pres. candidate, Elsie von Wimmersperg for Forrest Warthman, vice-pres. candi- date, Sharon Martoi for Jeanette Lim, unopposed secretary candidate, Judy MacDonald for Ina Lynch, treasurer candi- date, and Julie Stockwell for Brenda Telfer, treasurer candidate. Missing: Sharon CLASS DAY SPEAKERS Every semester the 12A class relinquishes the leadership of the school to the 12B class on Class Day. The 12A class represented by Larry Van Tuyl presented the gavel to Beverly Hroch, outstanding 12B student. Speaking at Class Day were Millie Anderson, who gave the class history, Bill Eichhorn, who gave the farewell to Redford from the January T958 class, and the master of ceremonies, Tom Gaskill. LuNcHEoN SPEAKERS J K om The Senior Luncheon was our last get together after gradu- ation. It climaxed our four years at Redford High School. Tom Gaskill opened the luncheon saying grace. After the lunch Judy MacDonald and Ralph Ohlers gave the class will, Gail White and Pete Gallagher gave the class prophecy, Tony Gucciardo and Patt Spaller gave the toast to the girls and boys, respectively, and Kitty Barnhart closed with a farewell to the class. IDT When Mr. White announced that this year's senior play would be Midsummer Night's Dream , many were dubious that it would go over and that it would be done well. Perhaps due to the publicity, which was exceptional this year, there was a near sellout each night. The audience enioyecl the play immensely and applauded, and applauded, and applauded. Puck fplayed by Jim Edwardsj, the little elf, received nothing but praise. His leaps and turns and iumps added sparkle to the play. The audience wondered if Hermia fplayed by Patt Lairdj would ever come out alive with all her tumbles. Helena fplayed by Lynne Jillson and Ellen Piercy alter- natelyj completely confused Demetrius fplayed by Jim Nettej and Lysander fplayed by Gregg Pagei. Bottom Cplayed by Neil Bierbowerj kept the audience laughing with each line. The play was the result of the combined efforts of three departments. Mr. White directed the whole production. Mrs. Stevens and Mr. Fenby directed the dancing and music re- spectively. One could not help but be proud while watching the play. The whole cast did an excellent job.
