L- -ur SWEETHEART JOYCE BADGER Again making its appearance after a year vacation was the Sweetheart Ball, held February l2 in the Masonic Temple. Decorating the walls and ceiling with hearts kept the guests in the festive mood. The Student Council and the Pheasant Call were the sponsors of the BalI. Stepping out of a Valentine Door came Sweetheart Joyce Badger escorted by Jim Hirtzel. The attendants were Buzz Welker, Carol Clark, Bonnie Hilkemeier and Wayne Harford. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT The Star of Peace, a Christmas cantata- pageant, was presented December IS by the mixed chorus and girls' glee club under the direction of Eunice Crouch assisted by Warren Schimnowski. The pageant was presented in four scenes: Under Chaldean Skiesg Outside the Stable: ln the Mangerg and The Return. Wayne Welker acted as narrator. The rest of the cast included Marlyce Sisson, Elaine Clark, Charles Parsons, Ronnie Day, Warren Schimnowski, Virginia Barnes, Peggy Mandery, Don Bottum, Martin Predoehl, Aureole Ernst, and Harriet Parsons.
