The elective body was chosen by the class oificers, class sponsor: Mr. Padilla, and annual sponsor: Mr. Butcher, with final ap- proval made by Mr. Pontius: Superintendent. The class was divided into four sales crews besides other ofiices, so that every senior had some responsibility. This six hundred dollar project is financed by the class, through solicited advertising of business, professional and civic organizationsp the sale of annuals: and of food at football and basketball games. This part of the project was under the supervision of Mrs. Pontius and Miss Marner, Business Manager, Darrell Duffy Sales Manager, Wanda Hug- ginsp and Advertising Manager, Richard Smeltzer. The work of setting up the annual copy was done by the editor, Carolyn Gibbons and assistant editor, Laura Parker, directed by the annual sponsor, Mr. Butcher. After this the copy is mailed to the publishing company, Serights of Lincoln, Nebraska: they assume the responsibility of completing the book. We present this annual with great pride and hope it will bring you fond memories in years to come. fee A . X ',-p if -'11 is Ui

LIBRARIANS ROW ONE: Erma Wacht, Miss Leeper. ROW TWO: Marilyn Turk, Norman Rogers, Elsie Sneathen, Darlene Thompson, Patty Merical, Juanita Evans, Leah Parker, Mona Gibler, Blanche Carpenter, Lena Crase, Darlene Cave. . ROW THREE: Billy Forshier, Dona Keltner, Don Mills, Junior Crase, Shirlie Harrison, Norma Miller, Darrell Duff. rx' The group of librarians above, supervised by Miss Leeper, are keeping our library in good order. The librarians check the books in and out and arrange them in alphabetical order by the author of the books. Various ways have been used to improve our library system. A black list has been made to encourage students with lower grades to study by not allow- ing them to read books for pleasure during school hours, without special per- mission. New books have been added this year giving us a large number of fiction books. South by Thunderbird an educational book of South America, was given to us by the American Legion Auxiliary. Students are not allowed to sign out to the library for more than five minutes. This eliminates gatherings. , A 'Z c' 3 x xy, Q- T 'H'1 ll ,, J 8- - -38-
