Dear Alumni and Alumnae of Redemptorrst Hrgh School Frttingly enough this edition of REDEMPTOR has a dual dedication It is a tribute to the School Sisters of Notre Dame who have been teaching rn Redemptorist Parish for a full century At the same time it salutes Coach Joe Galliano of the Championship RAMS It is well that a perdurable monument in the form of this book should be raised to the memory of the School Sisters of Notre Dame who have unstintingly given of their time and talents their energies and faculties to staffing your school A hundred years of such servlce surely deserves have been a means of formation as well as rnformation for you as students at Redemptorist High School lt 1S not given to every coach to produce a champion St Paul reminds us that all run the course but one wins the prize Coach Galliano has won a prrze fairly and squarely It is well that we should salute him too for his accomplishments As for yourselves members of the class of 57 apply to your graduation from Redemptorist these other words of St Paul 'I do not count myself to have apprehended but one thingl do For geltlrlg the things that are behind and stretching forth myself to those that are before I press to ward the mark to the prize of the supernal vocation of God in Christ Jesus Very sincerely in Him Henry C Bezou Archdiocesan Superintendent of Schools 7 recognition.
