Sponsor Mr Langhorst The Reddlck Chapter of the F F..A., under the dn-ectlon of Mr Langhorst, has had an active year The election of officers was held in September w1th the followmg results presldent, Ivan Rleke, v1ce presldent, Ivan Brunner, secretary, Leland Studley, treasurer, Bull Mas:-hlng, reporter, Fred Wepprecht, and sentinel, Larry Rltz The F F A xr-et every Friday in the Ag room under the supervislon of Mr Langhorst, our advisor 'I'he officers attended the offlcers trainlng school and Sectlon 10 meeting whlcb were held at rfomence We held Greenhand and Future Fa.rmer initiation and used parllamentaryprocedure in all our meetlngs For recreatlon the F F A holds ping pong tournaments, checker torunaments, a basketball tourament, and a track meet. The F.F.A. earned thelr money by selllng garden seeds and holding a sale of can spray. some of the activities :Ln which the F.F.A. particlpated th1s season were parliamentary procedure, public speaknng, and ,judging contests. The F.F. A. was 1n charge of one school party and helped put on the homecoming once. Also the boys made a float whlch placed thlrd :Ln the homecomlng parade. In the spring, a Parent-Son Banquet was held at which tune the F.F.A. SWBC17' heart was crowned. She was chosen by vote of the boys at the end of the garden seeds sale. Last year Linda Gooding was chapter sweetheart and Janet Jacobsgaard and Myrna Sandeno were attendants. Reddlck is represented each year at the Sectional F.F.A. Fair a.nd sends rep- resentatives to the state conventmn at Springfield. It also uses officlal equip- ment nn all meetings and at the banquet. Standnng Dorlene Hansen, Nancy Porter, Karen Hill Qeated Janet Meece Sponsor Hrs Burkhart 'I'he G1rl's Athletic Association, better known as the G A An had a very suc cessful year under our sponsor, Mrs Burkhart, and the f011OU'1Ilg officers pres 1dent, Janet Meece, vice president, Dorlene Hansen, secretary, Karen Hill, treas urer, Nancy Porter, reporters, Nancy Reardanz, Diane Ames, and Roberta Fox The G A A met every Frlday we had a busmess rreetlng and played some sports such a. bowl1ng, volley ball, basketball, soccer, archery, baseball, 1'BIl1'11S, badminton, dancing, tumbling, stunts, and pyramld building Other actlvities we participated :Ln were, sponsoring an all school party, at tending workshop, entermg the telegrapluc tournaments, selling at gaxres, helping Sumner ve had forty three g1rls 1n the G A A Eleven of them were freshmen we also 1n1tiated twelve sophomore glrls.
