5 I ! Miss Unz Adv1sers Mr Ohline On Augu t 46, l95n, thlrtn-e gnt enthus astlc out r ther frlghtenec fres men entered Redd c hlgh ichool hortly after school began we gan ed a new member, Carlene Woodall, whlch lncrea ed our clas to thirty n1.ne Before the year wa over wc hac lost nlne xrembars a Gene Dalton, tary Demmg, Paul Lberle, John Pbaros, The biggest event of our freshmen year was homecomlng We won second place on our float in the annudl. parade Those who helped to make our first year a success were the following officers president, Lemv Schultzg vice president, Bob Giaconettig secretary treasurer, Rena Jo Johnson Also with the help of our advisar,Mr. Keller, we can say that we had a verv wonderful and prosperous year. We choose the yellow chrysmnthexnum as our class flower, and blue and gold as our colors. The motto we selected was Onward, upward, forward to success Thirty of us started as sophomores in the fall of 1955 We added three to our class They were Pat Moore, John Jordan, and Jllll McKellar. Durlng the year we lost Lynn Whlte, John Jordan, Shnrley and Wanda Hull George Heppe came later in the year to br1ng our number back to thirty We selected our class officers for that year They were president, Dick Brusnighan, vice president, Tommy Jenseng secretary treasurer, Harry Gray, and student council representatives, Kay Walsh and Janet Meece. We were kept quite busy during our sophomore year. Besldes our subjects, we were actlve in student council, band, chorus, athletics, cheerleadlng, F F A , F H A , F N A , and G A A Many of the students had proved their ability as can be seen by the many names on the honor roll Under the capable leadership of Miss Burch and Mr Thiede, our class sponsors, we enjoyed a very successful sophomore year. Juanita Hartleln, ROIIIQ' Kurtenbach, a.nd Pat Moore didn't return. Later in the year George Heppe moved, leaving us w1th only twenty six members. We won second place again in the annual homecomlng parade. Du1-:Lng the year we presented the play, K1nd Lady , under the directlon of Miss Peters. The ost h1ghly treasured event of our junior year was the Junior-Senior prom All of the members of the class worked hard at different projects so that we were able to have a very successful prom which the senlors enjoyed. Our class officers for 131118 year were president, Tonmy Jensen, vice president, Nancy Porter, secretary treasurer, Harry Gray, and student council representatives, Dick Brusnighan and Nancy Porter. We also had a lot of help from our class sponsors, Mrs Barr and Mr Galeaz. When our junior year began in 1956, we had only twenty seven members because m As senlors the class of SS began the year with twenty flve students. We had only lo t one fellow classmate, Eddle Foley Under the dnrection of our class spon- sors, Hiss Unz and Mr. Ohlane, we held our class elections .utn the results asfollows president, Paul Wagner, vice president, JJ.m McKellar, secretary treasurer, Nancy Porter. Dorlsne Hansen and Tommy Jensen were selected as our student colmcil rep- resentatives. The seniors had their pictm'es taken :Ln September. Near the beginning of the second quarter we were sorry to lose Rita Reardanz and Shelby Sabella. We participated in many activitiesg but, of course, we took time to do our studies as was proved when several names appeared on the honor roll at various times. During the year we presented the senior play and published the Harvester with Linda Goodlng and Kay Walsh serving as co-editors. Havnng taken mary respon- sibilities in dafferent fields, we seniors can really say that we enjoyed a very happy but busy four years at Reddick High. With Baccalaureate and Commencement these happy days of our senior year are at an end. In our future years we hope to be wlser and happier from our failures and successes, but we will look back tothe pleasant memories of our high school days. O ' s ' ' ' -1 ', H a 'f s Q.- , . ,, 7. L.
