Loving ties will always be for Friendships here are bound. Alma Mater, Alma Mater, Faith is here with you. We will ever sing thy praise, To thee we'll 'ere be true. Dedication To Mrs. Marie Lower Q A-1 1 W ' . X We the class of 1972 feel that during our years here at Redbank we have at many times been misunderstood and often prejudged. From seventh grade on the remarks made about our class have been less than complimentary. Many teachers disliked us without reason, although we willingly admit many disliked us with reason. lt is true we have been a devilish class, full of tricks and pranks and mischievous acts. Many have said that we placed fun above learning. We feel, that although we do not have the competitive spirit or the high grades of classes before us, we have learned a great deal here. In the process of learning we have had many good times which brought us closer together as a class, so close, in fact, that we consider ourselves a FAMILY. There is one teacher here at Ftedbank who consistently overlooked our faults, forgave us for the many times we humiliated her, always attempted to teach us just a little more and above all never disliked us or said a word against us as a class. We have not forgotten the dedication and kindness she has shown us. Therefore we would like to make her a part of us, and so it is with our deepest respect and great fondness, that we, the FAMILY OF 1972 dedicate our yearbook, the Vallis, to- Mrs. Marie Lower Mrs. Lloyd C. Girls' Tea and Fashion Show Two big events for the girls in the spring are the Senior Girls' Tea and the Fashion Show. The Girls' Tea was the last get-together of the senior girls. And, of course, the Fashion Show showed the many talents of Fledbank Valley's home economics department. G G Il you're a Leo you are . . . J0dl SHESKSY models B P37139 SUN S719 made- Debbie Mlnlch, dld you really make that dress? Senior Officers Have twelve years really passed? ls it truly time to say goodbye? Yes, but it is hard for us to accept the fact that we are leaving Ftedbank and each other. We are sad but we have many memories to take with us. There have been moments of happiness and of sorrow. We remember. . . Our class rings The Clarion football game The Washington Trip Our senior banquet Our prom And finally graduation. These are but a few of our memories. Most of all, we will remember growing and watching and helping each other to grow. In twelve years, along with our academic education, we have also learned to know victory and defeat, happiness and sorrow, love and hate: and above all, we have learned to know each other. Now it is time for us to leaveg to say thank you to everyone here at Ftedbank who has helped us to grow and to become what we are and to wish the un- derclassmen all the happiness and fun we have had. For us, tomorrow will be a chance to prove true the words sung by Mama Cass: There's a new world comin' and it's just around the bend. There's a new world comin'. this one's comin' to an end. There's a new world comin', the one we've had visions of. An Egyptian tomb was the center of humor and death as twelve talented members of the Class of '72 became involved in The Haunted Honeymoon. On December 11, the insane Sir Iso ialias Osiris, God of Deathj trapped the eleven unsuspecting Scorpios in order to carry out their gruesome executions. Karns, Coach Mr. Caldwell In Appreciation I would like to thank the Senior class of 1972 for the excellent opportunity to prepare the layout designs, take the pictures, search for pictures in local newspapers and at Carrier Studio not taken by the staff, research and write copy, and type the copy for approximately one-half Q70 pages-not including 20 pages of adsl of supposedly their yearbook. This is our yearbook was the standard reply received when any suggestions offered by the advisor and other students tunderclassmenl were rejected, yet the results of several surveys of the class were generally fruitless concerning their suggestions. HAVING HAD TO WORK 12 HOURS PER DAY THE TWO WEEKS FOLLOWING THE CLOSE OF SCHOOL lJUNE 51 TO FINISH PREPARING HALF OF THE YEARBOOK MYSELF please direct any criticism lconstructive or notl to me, because there is a 5005 probability I designed the page or pages you criticize. I will be quite happy to give you my reply in CENSORED language. Also recognition should be given to several hard working, loyal JUNIORS for helping to finish the great SENIORS yearbook. Our local professional photographer, Mr. Carrier, helped tremendously by printing pictures needed at the last minute. Thank You Again. Mr. James C. Long Yearbook Advisor Track 8. With the theme Spring of '72, our gym took on a romantic gar den setting, decorated in varying hues of the class color, purple. From 9:00 to 12:00 the ladies and gentlemen of the Senior Class danced and dreamed to the enchanting music of The Ivy Walls. They then let loose at the after-prom, held at the Catholic Hall, where the parents, a hypnotist, and the rock group Colours supplied entertainment until the rising of the sun signaled 4,5 w if ' ' . , If E9 T-'tl 3 5 'X t -qi ul: 'ly 'fi i l , Lon Gracey.
