Loving ties will always be for friendships here are bound. Alma Mater, Alma Mater, Faith is here with you. We will ever sing thy praise, to thee we'll 'ere be true. CLASS MOTTO: We know what we are, but not what we may be. DEDICATICDN 1 NG N 'Hn N ' 'E n We wish to honor one in whom we have constantly con- fided, whose mind has always been open to our problems, and who, somehow has never failed to find a solution. We wish to thank a teacher who, in the process of enriching our minds has strengthened our characters to prepare us for the years ahead, both by classroom instruction-we can never forget Julius Caesar and Silas Marner , and by spon- soring the organization dedicated to these goals, the Nation- al Honor Society. To you whose eleven years of understand- ing, guidance, and unseltish devotion has inspired Sopho- mores so that they might someday become worthy and responsible Seniors, we, the Class of 1969 dedicate our Vallis to Mrs. Evelyn Caldwell. W v FCDREIGN RELATIONSHIPS Roberto Rodrigues and Dave McDonald Dave McDonald, Redbank's exchange student for 1968 left last June 26 for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he stayed for 2V2 months with the Ivan Lamounier family. He enjoyed the sun and the hospitality in Rio. On December 23, 1968, Roberto Rodrigues arrived in the United States. He stayed with the McDonald family, and attended school regularly. He was quite fascinated the first time he saw snow, and his only grave dislike in the United States was gravy. Roberto also was from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The trouble all begins when Dean Gillingham, played by Dave McDonald, does his best to expel Bonnie Schawl as the mother, Abigail Fortitude Abbott. Nick Bain in the role of Professor Michaels has every girl captivated by his charm, good looks, and intelligence. The campus big shot , as played by Ken Kline, nearly loses his girl Susan Abbott, played by Linda Troup, to this handsome Professor. The other college boys, Dennie Copenhaver, Paul Edder, and Gene Dinger, have the same problem with their girls, Connie Laughlin, Gail Brooks, and Nickie Cherico. Cindy French provided quite a laugh as she worried over her blind date. Sara Blotzer, as the housemother, keeps a careful watch on all her girls. Other college coeds include Shirley Gourley, the Pointer bookworm, and Karen Shoemaker, a sweet, gentle, female who simply adores the Professor. Directed by Miss Lewis and Miss Innocent with the aid of Butch Shilling and Sid Greenawalt, backstage crew, the play was a huge success bringingin over S400 for the Senior Class. The stage was set by Mr. Yount and his art department. The make-up was headed by Pam Doverspike.
