Cla k E Ray Supervising Prrncrpcl To the members ofthe Class of l958 There are too many people who don t know where they are heading With hazy ideas about life s goals their whims and wishes have the stability of a flittmg butterfly Too often they have chosen goals that they soon question For one thing too many careers are chosen on a hit or miss basis Chance plays too big a part A recent survey shows tl at half of us would like to be do ng something other than what we are doing Don t allow yourself to dr1ft into a world of unhappy work ln thinking of your life work you m ght do well to start with an analysis of your elf What are you best suited for? Do you like b mg a small part of a la ge thing or a medium sized part of a small thing? Would you become restless sitting b hind a desk for eight hours? Ask yourself D l like detail work or am I better meeting people? Do I llke responsibilities or do l function better when supervised? ln this connection may l say that educa tion as represented by our schools can help to give us more than knowledge and facts as im por'ant as they are Education can help us de velop a larger sense of values a sensitivlty to what is Just right and good a happy career if we first lay a sound foundation Iosephl Kata Principal Greeting and Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 1958 This year of l958 will long be remembered as the year when the Redbank Valley Second ary School first occupied the new quarters on the banks ot the Red Bank This fine new building was made possible by the united efforts of nine school districts and their ten thousand taxpayers who reside in the Red Bank Valley This building has its foundation in the hopes and dreams of the many fine people who over the past many years have struaqled to provide better educational opportunit es for all of the children of all of the people of the crea Tlne varied needs abilities apt tudes and 1ntere ts of the student body mandates a school with widely varled experiences and activities The construction and operation of this new structure 1S expensive and does now and will continue to require a sacrifice of time and money by those who support t e institution Support of schools will corne Just as long as the schools meet the expectations of the society which supports the schools lt is therefore for us who occupy this beautiful building to ac quaint ourselves with the trust imposed in us and strive to fulfill the destiny which IS ours losephl Kata Principal A . . . 1 , l .
