We hope you have all enjoyed the dances skating partles bake sales rummage sales and all the other activities the Junior Class has sponsored We enjoyed dolng our assembly programs immensely All the partlclpants 1n the programs had fun practicing At tlmes lt may have been a l1ttle hard to get some certaln characters to work but It provided some good laughs and was well worth our while One of our eventful act1v1t1es was a round and square dance in the school gym Everyone seemed to have fun as he d1Ved for the oyster and promenaded around willingly too to join in the merry making Several of our juniors were outstanding in various school HCt1Vlt16S Kay Het r1ck Nancy Shumaker Jim McCafferty and Wendell Reddinger were our repre sentatlve to District Chorus held at Ambrldge Pennsylvanla In the Forensic Speech Contest for Clarion County Joyce Daugherty and Kay Hetr1ck d1d a fine job with serious and humorous declamat1ons In the all school play which enjoyed huge success there were three junlors Sally Wlant Roger Allen and Barbara Humes We the juniors are proud of our classmates Next year we shall be sen1ors Of course we re lookmg forward to that eventful year but right now we re doing our best to make the most of th1S one 18 .g - . h . , . Vice President President Treasurer Secietary After the first few days of school had come and gone It began to dawn on us that we were sophomores 1n our first year of senior high We were quite thrilled to know that as sophomores we would be lncluded ln more 3Ct1V1t1eS than last year The rush and confusion of school life became a part of us Our class contrlbuted four of the eight cheerleaders and there were many other sophomores who were outstanding in oth r aCt1V1t18S As the days flew bv we also realized that we had to do more work than last year B1OlOgy JBT and Plane Geometry presented problems we had never encoun tered before k rs Day celebratlon with the girls asking the fellows to go Then we held skating parties bake sales and more dances We were the class who started talking about the Ice Follles in Pittsburgh and finally chartered buses so all Redbank Vall J students who WlShed to go could have ax a lable transportat o Our class produced the one person eliglble to attend State Chorus where only the best singers from all over Pennsylvania gather for fESt1V3lS of song Jack Wilson was chosen to represent RVHS A school year even if it s packed with act1v1t1es somehow has a way of dlsap pearlng Wlth only a few regretful backward glances we face the year ahead confi dent that we will carry on as Juniors wlth ex en greater success 20 S. , .
