It is the purpose of the staff of the 1959 RED MILL to recall our acquaintances and our experiences by re- viewing where our shoes have taken us this year. Our shoes have taken us in the science lab, up and down the stairs to classes, to the front steps at lunch time, on the football field, across the stage, on the gym floor, up and down the streets of Washington, D.C., and to the auditorium for chapel. By look- ing back at your footprints on these pages, it is our hope that you will be reminded of the wonderful times you have had at Red Springs High School. There are those, however, among our acquaintances, the memory of whom is never dulled by the eraser of time. Such a one, who will always be remembered by the RedSprings students, is Mrs. Gibson. She is a serene, unperturbed, deliberate person who has given devotion and unselfish service to the school and community. Her inate quality of humility, her understanding counsel, and her personal charm have endeared her to all. It is with great pleasure and pride that the RED MILL dedicates its 1959 edition to MRS.
