RR Track Team Wins District Meet Aided by ideal spring weather, the new reslite, all-weather track, and strong efforts by team members, Red River's track team completed a long and successful season. Participation in sixteen meets made this season the longest in the school's history. The team, aided by strong underclass men, rose in conference standings and for the first time defeated both Fargo schools. Another indication of the team's strength was their placing fifth at the Shanley meet, a meet including the strongest teams from North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Jay Haley was the first Rider track man to score over 1OO points duringa season. Prospects for next year look excellent as there are many strong returning lettermen and also because the junior high prospects look favorable. A. Bob Bennet B. Jay Sidie, Steve Olson, and Jay Haley.
