Riders Complete A 5-4 Football Season The Roughriders triumphantly completed their best football season ever by trampling Grand Forks Central and finishing the year with a 5-4 record. The year was highlighted by several big victories including the Homecoming game against the Jamestown Jays. Along with the victories on the field went victories of spirit that were scored by the large number of fans attending the games and by the Red River Pep band that performed at all home games. The instigation of the new wishbone offense and the determined coaching of Dallas Kopp were contributing factors in the production of this successful season.
