Cross Country Team Wins Conference Title High ranking in the North Dakota state meet, first in Eastern Dakota Conference competition, and first place in numerous meets throughout the state: these were typical reports for this year's cross country team. As coach Larson said, This was the best year ever in the history of Red RiverCrossCountry. With a new era in team success, there also developed a new era in student support. Hanson Places Second in State Tennis Singles A small group of sophomore, junior and senior girls, under the direction and coaching of Mrs. Carol Manfull, made up the '72 Red River girls' tennis team. The team participated in six matches throughout the state, finishing the season at the state meet at which Marilyn Hanson placed second in singles and the team finished in fourth place.
