Core, Phy-Ed Provide training for everyday life Instead of meaningless games that are forgotten after high school, the Red River physical education department hopes to encourage sports activity throughout a life time by providing sports and activities that remain popular throughout life. Providing an alternative to college prep courses for those that are interested in vocational school or other alternatives are the core instructors. Using a learning labratory complete with the newest educational devices, core works closely with vocation- al educationto provide an education for everyday life. A. ' 'fx Fine Arts Promote Individual Expression Music and art - the fine arts department of Red River. It provides a chance for working alone or in a large group, a place to get away from the strain of high school days, a place to be yourself without worrying about others. It provides a chance to know teachers and students beyond book and lessons and it provides a chance to come to know yourself. Used as a study hall and research center the library also provides a means for the most exciting of adventures. To try to keep order and quiet and provide help for students the librarians find their jobs hard but rewarding as they help students to enter the gateway to their futu re. art, library, and music 119

Aids Lighten Teachers' Load Helping to lighten the teachers' load of endless details are the teachers aides. The aides work in resource centers, correct papers, prepare equipment, and just generally doing the dirty work of the educational system.
