Administration Sets School Policies The backbone of any business is the administration and, in the vast business of education, the small group of people that make up the administration have an important and demanding job to do. They make decisions that will effect the minds of thousands of young people and that extend far beyond the school years ofan individual. The job of carrying out these decisions on a first hand basis goes to our principals. Though they fulfill one of the most demanding jobs it is often a thankless one. When a conflict arises they are the first to get the blame and the last to get praise: they are expected to be invincible but to show superhuman understanding, and, as most observers will discover, they fulfill these qualifi- cations and more to help with the formation of an education. A. Everett Knudsvig, principal: Dave Bucher, Assistant Principal. B. BOARD OF EDUCATION. Row 2: Dr, Burt Nygren, Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Gerald Hammerlik, Winston Register, Dr. Gustav Kopka, George Unruh, Jr., Michael Polovitz. -Ly- 110 administration
