Mrs. Dave Falk All In a Day's Work . . . We Salute- -- ' Y 7 , at-f fy ,sg . , Afwixsi. 1 A . Lf lf' J , 5 j X 9 it at ' ' 'A 'z3EtfE ,..,, v,,.. fu HW FS ., Considering Likes and Dislikes . . . The students of ROCHS would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Mrs. Falk, for 17 years of faithful service as head ofthe lunch room staff. When this lunch program first started, you served about 150 students and teachers each day in the present biology room. Through theyears this program has grown until now about 450 people are served daily. Those of us who eat in the lunch room know the problems that arise in managing the lunch program, such as planning wholesome meals on a strict budget, increased enrollment, and extra students in bad weather. Thanks to your unfailing service and skilled management, Red Oak has one of the finest student lunch programs in Iowa. Bernard Seaburg We, as people, sometimes take things for granted the things other people do for us. When you leave school some evening, just notice the condition of the hall floors, the scraps of paper in the study hall, and the general disorder. The next morning notice that the hall floors are clean, the study hall is cleaned up. and the building made ready for a new day. Who is responsible and sees that the building is maintained properly? A great deal of this task falls to Bernard Seaburg, better known as Bernie , Bernie became custodian in the high school during the school year of 1952- 53. Now he has reached the retirement age and will terminate his services at the end of this year. . Bernie spends his time making our school life more pleasant whether it be cleaning up the building, helping in the lunch room, or telling the fellows a joke. In recognition of this we, the student body, wish to thank him for his faithful service to ROCHS.
