LEONORE OSTROM MRS- -TUDITH LAR-SON Secretary to Mr. Lynch Secretary to Mr. Took ig: QJQQ We, the Senior Class of 1959, wish you, Mr. Took, a warm and sincere welcome and regret that our education under your direction has been limited to one year. Last fall your popularity was beginning to show and has grown by leaps and bounds throughout the year. Your pleasant but firm man- ner has won the respect of the entire student body. Your style of wit infused in off-the-cuff speeches has added spark to student life. May your years as principal of ROI-IS be many and successful. Sponsored by ARTZ. A happy lot was the Board of Education and Mr. Lynch the night of Dec. 5th, when the third attempt at voting school bonds for vitally needed new buildings passed bya thumping 69.6 per cent. The 5238,000 bond issue barely missed setting a school bond election vote record. It was the team work of the organizations, such as the Chamber ofCommerce, .TayCees, P.TA, etc., that contributed to the success of this election. Even a group of our own band members braved the zero weather to play atop a truck to call the people's attention to the fact that there was an election that day and that it was time to exercise the right of all free Americans. Our Board of Education gives freely of its valuable time from various professions, to improve the facilities of our schools, to select well-qualified teachers, and to make decisions on the problems presented by the increasing enrollment in our school system.
