Solemn Pride 1TH the coming of spring the Oak burst into bloom with the Fine Arts Festival of five colleges- Red Oak, Creston, Osceola, Clar- inda and Graceland. The mixed chorus Won superior rating. The other superior went to Bill Shields in the baritone solo division. The other mu- sic entries from Iled Oak-Phyllis Morgan, soprano, Hilaire Doolittle, bari- tone, Betty Marquart, mezzo soprano, Helen Dean Umphreys, alto, and Don Ossian, tenor-all were rated good. The mixed quartet of Bill Shields, Helen Dean Umphreys, Don Ossian and Mavis Reed, received an excellent.
