The Lit Club donates two books each year to the college library. Members are chosen on the basis of their literary appreciation, scholastic ability, and personality. Last Fall Betty Brayton was elected presidentg Portia Jolas, vice- presidentg and Margaret Mclntyre secretary-treasurer. Portia Jolas be- came president with the beginning of the second semester with Mary Jane Hrunnworth as Vice-president and Norma Cooper as secretary-treasurer. Also seated are Margaret Mclntyre, artistg Lee Honeyman, business managerg and Mr. Lockridge, staff advisor. Before the staff are the twelve issues of the Oak published by these students during the 1939-10 school year. Other activities of the staff shown are the proofs of the Junior College hand- book, to be published next year, and sale of Acorn pencils, benefit show tickets, and magazine subscriptions. f Pfkfill lNlELlEEN

NEWEST of the Junior College activities represented in the activities building is the Future Teachers of America, of which all the Junior College education students are members. Officers of the organization are Evelyn Stoneking, presidentg Marjorie Bengston, vice-president, and Helen Johnson, secretary-treasurer. Since its organization at the begin- ning of the second semester the F. T.
