TEACHERS are people, too. lt's difficult for a student to sit in a classroom and see a teacher as anything other than a teacher. Teachers tell students when the class is too loud, when the homework is past due, or when the work you have just finished is incorrect. But, Iet's take a different view. Teachers don't enjoy giving F's or licks. And, in a way, it hurts them, too. They take pride in their work, because when a student succeeds, so does the teacher. Teachers are only doing their job - teaching youngsters what was taught to them, not only from books, but from life, too. They are not turned on or off - no buttons or strings! Junior high is a seemingly endless space of time between elemen- tary and high schoolg a time of gaining privileges that indicate you are growing up, but not quite knowing how to use those privileges: a time of not being a little kid or a full-fledged ROHS teenagerp a time of being too old to fide a bike, but not quite old enough to drive a car. Junior high is mostly a time of eagerly looking forward to being in high school, but sadly looking back to the carefree days of recess and Xt story hour.
