The Red Lion cheerleaders are a group of spirited young women who support the athletic teams with cheers, assemblies, spirit ideas and dedication. These girls are not called on just to cheer for the teams, but to serve the school by putting together the student handbook, ad- dressing and stuffing envelopes for the Booster Clubs, decorating the gym, and escorting speakers on Career Day. The football squads were chosen in late May. Preparations were then made for attending the National Cheerleading Assoc. summer clinic at the Pocono Sports Camp. Here the girls spent five days learning new cheers, pompom routines and stunts. When not in class-type instruction, the girls were exchanging ideas and improving newly learned skills. This year's football squads worked together during the summer months to purchase warm up suits, hats, and gloves and to finance the spirit ideas for team members. JR. HIGH: ROW 1: T. Reider, S.
