The Junior Class presented Up the Down Staircase by Bel Kaufman on December 3 and 4. The play commenced with Miss Sylvia Bar- rett fLori Smithl coming to Clavin Coolidge High School in New York City as a new teacher. She is initiated by her homeroom students and the many forms she had to hand out or com- plete. She has many problems with the students and tries hard to help each one of them. She was almost ready to give up and leave when she realized that she was needed.
