DEDIC TIC A. Irene Hangen With respect for her teaching, and in sincere appreciation for her service to Red Lion Area Senior High School students, the Class of 1976 dedicates the 1976 LION to A. Irene Hangen. In September, 1961, Mrs. Hangen began her teaching career at Red Lion. She is currently a teacher of Latin, English, and Etymology. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Hangen is the advisor of the Junior Classical League CJCLJ and the Latin Honor Society. In previous years, from 1966-1970, Mrs. Hangen was the ninth grade music teacher and the director of both the Girls and Mixed Choruses. Mrs. Hangen received her formal education from Albright College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin. Her generosity, determination, and bene bars are greatly appreciated by the Senior Class, and it is with great pleasure that we dedicate our book to A. Irene Hangen. 2
