MARCHI CLIC SA D CHEERLE DER TTE DC MP On August 17, 171 stu- dents left the rear of the high school in five buses to journey to Hartman Center. For seven days these stu- A dents practiced and prac- ticed and practiced. But it was not in vain, for on August 28, these 171 stu- dents returned as The Marching Lions. From August 11-14, our , Varsity, JV, and Freshman cheerleaders attended cheer- leading camp at Millersville State College. They learned new chants, cheers and two pom pom rountines. The en- tire school won a spirit Stick which represents spirit, enthusiasm, friendliness and peppiness. Pete McGill, Jackie Gross and Joe Keller rush into the dining hall to get some of that yummy camp food. Bonnie March enjoys a break in the day's busy schedule. W. T: i L . K . . Q A w-ff, i'!i1 'Q Seniors leave their mark on the roof of Hartman Center. Mindy Rupp is taken by surprise as she prepares for another day of cheerleading camp. Lori Smith and Kathy Thomas are bubbling with enthusiasm and spirit. Camp life agrees with the freshmen cheerleaders.

On September 4, 508 freshmen joined with 382 sopho- mores, 346 juniors and 315 seniors to become the student body of Red Lion Senior High School.
