ffm W? ..r. Many male students of Red Lion High School plan to enter industrial occupations directly after graduation. To enable these students to acquire successful and rewarding jobs our industrial arts department provides training in me- tal, wood, graphic arts, and drawing. Since modem teach- ing methods include practical application, our students print the school paper, the LEONID, and many other forms used in school administration. Mr. Gary Mummert, Mr. Ward The Practical BACHMAN, KENNETH, B.S., M.Ed .... Woodworking, MOORHEAD, RITCHIE, B.S .... Mechanical Drawingg Archery Club. Among Mr. Moorhead's summer activities were attending college and participating in competitive riile shooting. WITHERS, LOWELL, B.S., M.Ed .... Industrial Arts, Metal Shop. During the summer, Mr. Withers worked in industry as a draftsman. YORKS, WARD, B.S., M.Ed. . . . Graphic Arts. Mr. Yorks attended the Intemational Graphic Arts Education Work- shop at the I.T.U. School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 4- To solve mathematical problems, an extensive knowledge of mathematical techniques is needed. With the help of competent instructors, these problems with numbers can be solved in an orderly manner. Excellent facilities and text- books at Red Lion may guide the college-bound student to- ward a better basic understanding of mathematical concepts. Algebra I, Modern Geometry, Algebra II and Trigonometry and Pre-calculus are offered to aid the student in his future attempts to solve the complexity of college math. Business Arithmetic, Consumer Math, General Math I and Shop Math are offered to students in the commercial fields to widen their mathematical horizons and to give them a better understanding of math in the business World. Our math department has been constantly improving and will continue to do so in the future years. 22 Logic Is A Key I ZIEGLER, DAVID, A.B., M.A .... Advanced Algebra I, Advanced Algebra II, General Mathematics I, During the summer, Mr. Ziegler participated in many of his varied in- terests including golf, tennis, swimming, traveling, and reading.
