Mr. Raymond E. Gibb, B.S., M.Ed .... Supervising Principal . . . Mr. Gibb is a new figure to Red Lion this year. As head of the school system Mn Gibb finds many duties beyond the walls of our own high school, be they educational or civic. To The Students Yours is a privilege, yours is a challenge, yours is a responsibility. You have been fortunate in that you have been privileged to live in a. country whose basic ideologies protect and encourage the rights and dignities of its individuals. You have been further blessed by being privileged to live in a community that upholds these traditions and is willing to give of its time, talent, and sub- stance in order to afford each individual the opportunity to strive for the greatest success of which he is capable. The provision of opportunities does not guarantee your success either as a citizen or in your chosen vocation. Each person must, in the final analysis, meet the challenge personally. What each person accomplishes depends on the measure of effort and dedica- tion he is willing to put forth. Having the opportunity to succeed is not enough. Each of you must work to bring these opportunities to fruition. With every privilege comes a responsibility. It will be your per- sonal responsibility to work and to live in such a manner that you will have done your part toward the perpetuation of these basic principals and ideals. To each of you, and particularly to the senior class, best wishes for continued success. Sincerely yours, 5 Raymond E. Gibb 6 Supervisors Overseeing the operations of the Red Lion Area School System, Mr. Raymond E. Gibb, our new supervising principal, exhausts many hours prepar- ing the functions of the school district to run smoothly. In previous years, Mr. Gibb fulfilled the position of assistant superintendent of the New Castle Area School District. Having been principal of the Red Lion Area Senior High School for the past six years, Mr. Thomas E. Zerbe has superintended the activities of the students and faculty. Among his daily tasks are scheduling classes and disciplining culprits.
