National Honor Society Being elected to the National Honor Society is the greatest dis- tinction which one may be award- ed during his high school career. Candidates for this organization are chosen by a committee of the faculty from the seniors who have maintained an average of 8519 or higher during three and one half years of high school. ln addition to this scholastic achieve- ment, each person so honored must have displayed outstanding qualities of character, leadership and service. An impressive initiation cere- mony is conducted by Miss Clara Johnson and Mr. Neil Harkenrider in an assembly program to which parents of the new members are invited.
