Publicity for team activities in its broadest sense is the project of the Trail Staff composed of 14 members from the Senior Class assisted by Mrs. Ruth Lamphier and Miss Mary Arnold. The staff was represented at the Empire State School Press Association Conference in Syracuse, New York, by Patricia Crowther, Monica Boardman, Nancy Boardman, and Mrs. Lamphier. This conference enables the high school students to become acquainted with some of the important aspects of journalism and provides a brief, but inspiring, opportunity to absorb a bit of college atmosphere. DEDICATION Due to his outstanding record in both the class room and sports field, the Senior Class of '57 is proud to dedi- cate this year's Red Jacket Trail to Mr. George Schaertl. Mr. Schaertl came to Redlacket to teach in 1955 and capably took over the Junior High Math department. He also became our football coach. With his patience and guidance he produced a fine team. He is well liked by both students and townspeople. He makes his home in Shortsville withhis wife, two daugh- ters and new son. During the summer he works as a mason. We sincerely wish him good luck in the future and success with his own football squad. MR. GEORGE SCHAERTL Pride and Joy! Just exercise! No place like home
