-,,....a, , , nenicfmriom MISS CLARA MERTZ We, the Seniors, would like to honor Miss Clara Mertz for her capable guidance and her steadfast friendliness to all those at R.j.C. She came to Manchester High to teach 7th grade math, social studies, and spelling in 1943 after several years of previous teaching experience in this vicinity. She has been teaching at Manchester High, and now, since we centralized, at Red jacket, -ever since. Miss Mertz resides in suburban Palmyra with her mother and sister, Her hobby is growing flowers and she does have a very beautiful selection of flowers in her garden at home, her house, and also in her homeroom. Blooms of all sorts respond to her green thumb. Most of us Seniors have had Miss Mertz for a teacher in junior High and we all agree that she fully deserves this honor. The class of '56 extends to Miss Mertz best wishes for a happy and prosperous future.
