To commemorate her fifty-one years of service to education, we have set aside this page for Miss Nellie E. Shook. Since her first job as assistant to the principal in the three-room Barrytown schoolhouse to her job most known to us, first grade teacher here at Red Hook Central School, about 1500 children have come under her guidance. We feel that because of this extraordinary achievement Miss Shook deserves this small remembrance in our yearbook.
