Little did we know then of all the things that were to happen to us in the next four, short years. Mr. Fisher became our class advisor and Barb. B. , Jeanine H. , Verna C. and Jan H. joined us. Bill O. was elected president. Were we proud of Don Conn that yearl He made Varsity Basketball and Baseball! That was also the year Ann, Sandra, and Janis charmed snakes. On Moving-Up-Day we were awarded the field events trophy. Where, Oh, Where are the Verdant Freshmen? Safe now in the Sophomore Class. That year we became more important, or so we thought. Miss Aiken and Mr. Brenzel were our very patient and understanding homeroom teachers. Rose D, and Loretta H. came to R. H. C. S. Janis was chosen president. We held our first paper drive, which really helped our treasury. We also had our first round and square dance, The Big Wheel, which was more successful socially than financially. Our girls were the pride of the class when they won the inter-class basketball championship. Where, Oh, Where are the Gay Young Sophornores? Safe now in the Junior Class. N M .Assad
