,11-11 As the years slip away to become the past and the mists of time begin to dim the memories of an individua1's high school experiences, it is a class yearbook that comes to bethe one vehicle that he may possess which can transport him back to those wonderful carefree years when he was a high school student. It is this fact which makes worthwhile the long hours of work which the seniors have expended on the production of the 1956 Hardscrabble. Congratulations to the editor and staff and the faculty advisors for a splen- did contribution to a long line of outstanding Harclscrabbles. The great English Bard, William Shakespeare, in his play, Hamlet, causes Polonius to give his son, Laertes, most valuable advice which closes with the lines: This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. This advice rings down through the years to you as seniors in this year of 1956 A.D. As you face your many varied activities of future years keep this advice of the Bard ever before you, to thine own self be true. XM' ' '-iw .ah 4' ,X i :- ra-1' - 1 ' .I .Y-'25j'e .f :+ 2557 :YN 7.
