FOREWORD As we, the Class of 1955, read our yearbook, we will see Herman, our Teddy Bear, depicted throughout. Herman, who was three years old Christmas, was presented to us as an award for the best Christmas Bulletin Board in 1951. Im- mediately a motion was made and passed adopting Herman as the offical mas- cot of the Class of ' 55. Although there was some controversy over his name, the class finally reached an agreement and from that day, Herman reigned over all of our class projects. As you read this yearbook some years from now, we hope you will have the same wonderful memories of Red Hook Central that we will.
