Sr. Honor Society The Red Creek chapter of the National Honor Society of Secondary School has as its objective to create an enthusiasn for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, and to encourage the development of character in pupils at Red Creek Central. Members are chosen by a secret vote of the faculty on the basis of ratings in the three fields of character, service, and leadership. To be eligible for member- ship a student must have an average of 85 or better and be in the Tenth grade. The group under the advisorship of Mrs. Nora DeMas, meets at regular intervals. FRONT ROW: J. Demas. 62 Jr. Honor Society The Red Creek Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society of Secondary School was formed to promote leadership, charactor, service and scholarship in grade seven, eight and nine. To become a member a student must have an average of 85 or better and must be chosen by a secret vote of the faculty. The advisor for the year was Mrs. Beck.

Assembly Council The Assembly Council is made up of representatives from each homeroom. Mr. Kennedy is their faculty advisor. This group of students selects and organizes each assembly. They also introduce the guest and the assembly to the student body. Each year there is a program list of all the assemblies for the year in each homeroom made up by this group of students. 61

The French Club, which was organized this year, was formed to promote an understanding of the French language and culture. The club has sponsored several bake sales this year in working toward a goal of sending next year ' s Seniors to Monacal. Spanish Club Under the supervision of Mis. Mildred Stevens, the Spanish Club members increase their knowledge of the cultural, linguistic, and historical aspects of Spain and other Spanish- speaking countries.
