When we began our school life as small children in kindergarten, our associations, knowledge and interests were narrow just as the stream is narrow at its beginning. However, as the stream broadens and grows as it flows toward the lake, so have we grown, not only in stature, but also in knowledge and wisdom. Now we are about to go out from school life here and start our own lives in the world just as the stream finally reaches its destination and flows into the lake. Thrs year the class of 1959 has chosen to dedrcate rts Centralrte to a man who rs very deservrng of thrs honor M Gordon Brdwell Mr Brdwell came to Re Creek rn 1954 when our class was rn the Erghth Grade an srnce then has been much help to our class and to the school He was class advrser to us for two years and our teacher for three years but more than thrs he has been our frrend He has always been wrllmg to help us wrth our problems both rn and out of school and so Mr Brd well to you we dedrcate our 1959 Centralrte as a eans of sayrngt ank y M Dedication 3 Board of Education On Wednesday nights when most people are at home comfortably watching a favorite television program or reading a good book, certain men willingly give their time to attend a meeting of the Board of Education. These people in cooperation with the administration are responsible for the fine texts and equipment in every department of our school. Without their interest in the welfare of students and community many improve- ments and additions to our buildings would also be impossible. Their only reward is the satisfaction that Red Creek Central School rates high both in scholarship and sportsmanship, and that its students have had every opportunity to help them succeed in life. The staff has tried several new ideas such as the use of color, new arrangements of pictures, and the use of the theme The Stream of Knowledge Never Ends to include the towns of Red Creek and Fair Haven in the yearbook for the first time. The staff feels that this is one of the best yearbooks we have had, and they hope it will be enjoyed as much as they have enjoyed creating it. 40 QQ, BACK ROW L toR D Hadcock R Ford, J MacArthur, J Cramer, L Graham FH-'TH ROW A Cooper, P Ketchum, A Zukovsky, J Webster P Mclntyre C Mc Intyre, P Graham, M Townsend, P Lynch, B Henderson, R Houghtahng, E LaC1a1r M W1111s R Becker W Bassett FOURTH ROW H Caster, D Hadcock, M Rlchard son, M Larkm L Dates, C Dopp, N Conroy, P Lehne P DeLuca, B Mahar, Z Jaeger P Barrus, J Sporup THIRD ROW M Mead J O'Br1en, S Schantz, C Hoff S Smlth J Kasson, J Vacca, L Dates SECOND ROW A Wendover, K Scutt, P Lehne, C Conroy K Campbell FRONT ROW C Standbrook L McFarland, B Parry Red Cricket Mr W1111am Roblnson Advlser Loretta Stanton Co Edltor Susan Trull Co Edltor Sharon Bassett Jumor Edltor THIS year as rn other years the Red Crrcket has contrnued IIS flne record of servlce to the school Under the leadershrp of advrser Mr Robmson and co edrtors Loretta Stanton and Susan Trull, the paper has contrnued bemg one of the best publlshed by any school, and we owe the members of the staff our congratulatlons 41 sift. fav, K, .
