Mr. Richard C. Smith Dedication There comes a time when words fail to express fully what is in the heart. This is such a time. Many of the members of the Class of 1953 who were privileged to have Mr. Richard C. Smith as class advisor in the eighth grade, will remember him for his true friendship and guidance. Not only that year, but all through our high school years his radiant smile and winning manner have been an inspiration to us all. Now in this, our Senior year at Red Creek Central School, we are even more grateful to him. A true teacher in the finest sense of the word, with intense interest in the student and an earnest desire to develop the best in training young people for bus- iness, Mr. Smith has been a special friend and guide to all. To you, Mr. Smith, we owe a great deal, and as expression of sin- cere appreciation, we dedicate this, our 1953 Centralite to you.

These members are 'e ted by the people of the Red Creek Central School District. Monthly meeting are held the second Tuesday of the month to discuss school problems and make plans for the future. The Board has as its goal a higher standard of education for the students of the Red Creek Central School District. With this fact in mind a new garage has been built, and the problem of relieving overcrowded conditions because of increased enrollment studied. As a part of their work last year the athletic field was enlarged. Due to the fact that the board members have children of their own in school, they more easily understand the problems of students and parents in the cause of making a better community and democracy by attaining higher education standards. Surely this worthy organization deserves much credit for its timely help and tireless efforts in making a school system of which we all can be proud.
