Time Records All Even though the hands of time move rapidly, the 1953 Centralite staff members have beaten the clock. With the precise movement of the staff and our advisor, Miss Helena Growney, jewels have been added to the 1953 edition of the yearbook. Due to the increase in enrollment this year, and the new organi- zations which have been formed, it has been necessary to add four more pages to the yearbook, making a total of fifty-six pages. Taking a flight into the world of ideas, the Senior page has been introduced with the most timely information about the class of '53 Even as a clock could not produce time without the expert skill of the jeweler, neither would this yearbook be a success without our capable advisor. With sincere appreciation we say thank you, Miss Growney. If lt's News We Print It Members of the Red Cricket staff have this year made many ac- complishments. Guided by Mr. Anthony Zapella with Richard Sauer as Editor-in-chief, and Barbara Viele as Junior Editor, the Red Cricket staff has produced a paper entirely devoted to high school news. The paper, printed eleven times a year, has had timely ar- ticles, clever jokes and interesting information. For the first time, the Copy Cricket composed of news from the first six grades has made its appearance. The students with the assistance of Barbara Viele and Richard Lefavor, have written and produced a memiographed newspaper which is a step towards their future newspaper work.
