They were accompanied by their sponsors, Miss Brown, Mr. Skov, and Mr. Augustyn. Their destination: Lakeside Park, Denver. As everyone expected, the juniors and sundry others saw them off that night singing When the SAINTS Go March- ing Off. After stopping in Limon, Colorado, for breakfast, the seniors headed directly for Colorado Springs and then on to the Garden of the Gods. At the latter place, they indulged in a frenzy of souvenir buying Next, they made a short trip up the Mt. Manitou incline which whetted their appetites for a banquet- like dinner in the city of Manitou. After dinner, they journeyed to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where they entertained the monkeys, About four o'c1ock in the afternoon, the senior caravan headed for the mile-high city of Denver where they ate supper. Lakeside Amusement Park then bore the brunt of all the remaining energy and finances of the group. At ten thirty that night, a weary and bedraggled bunch of seniors boarded the bus for Red Cloud. The only excitement on the way home oeenrred when a shower of hot pennies fell into everyone's lap. A certain sponsor was blessed for this manna from heaven. .l mr rrp-er, C db- r f 'i d:,i:a.g.
