Most schools throughout the country re- cognize dramatics as an important and integral part of the school program. The young actor learns responsibility as he must not miss a cue, be late or absent from a rehearsal, or forget his lines at a performance. The purpose of producing a play is to give the students, who care to participate, an opportunity to develop skills in speech, enunciation, and projection. They also learn grace and poise, interpretation of moods and ideas, and self confidence.
