Due to the cost of a float, Sen- iors united with the Sophomores to produce a prize winning float. Blow Their Mines took SWEEPSTAKESIII Homecoming night Joanne Hidy was crowned l98O Homecoming Queen. Barbara Bazzini, Karen Martin and Denette Richardson were among the nominees. A dance followed at the Vet's Hall with music by Crystal Wind . Winter Formal was held at the Elk's Lodge with Tom Lengtat receiving the honor of being named Boy of the Year . Nominees included Mike Good- win, Todd Rehn, and John Wheeler. During Basketball Spirit Week Sen- iors took Spirit Sword. During Spirit Week's basketball game Mike Goodwin and Denette Richardson were crowned spirit king and queen. Both the Powder puff football and Jr.-Sr. basketball games were won by SENICRS this year. The Best of Times was the theme of the I98I Senior Ball held at the Elk's Lodge. Century was the band.
