The five members of the School Board meet twice a month. They discuss issues such as hiring staff approv- ing textbooks listening to the public and negotiating contracts affecting school districts The one issue that arises most often is the financing of our school ln addition to the Board Members you might also find a CSEA and a CTA representative attending some of the meetings. When asked what he thought about being on the School Board Ken Lindauer commented I enjoy sewing on the School Board because the people I come in contact with at the school are interesting reactive responsive and just good to work with I have found this true of the teachers as well as the administration but Teacher s Aids should not be overlooked. They serve an important role in the classroom. They help out a lot with the students when the teachers are occupied with other tasks. Lets just say that without T.A. s many teachers would be overwhelmed with tasks. When asked if he enjoys being a Teacher s Aid Richard Van Arsdall commented It s a good experience in case I decide to get a job as a teacher.
